🎞️ About the Movie:
Umberto D. centers on an elderly retired civil servant living on a meager pension in postwar Rome, where rising costs and social indifference leave him struggling to keep his rented room. As his financial situation grows more precarious, he faces quiet humiliation and isolation, finding comfort only in his loyal dog and a tentative friendship with the household maid. Through small, everyday moments, the film paints an intimate portrait of loneliness, pride, and the fragile dignity of a man trying to survive in a world that seems to have moved on without him.
